Search the web for different ways to make a sun viewer, and experiment with a few to see which works best for you. Make sure to start early with at least the gathering of the data part. That way if you make changes to your viewer you can still have 14 days in which to collect data. Take plenty of pictures of items used, you building the viewer, and recording the data. It will help when you put your project together later on.

The advise that i have on this project is try doing it twice. the first time helps you really see how you need to plot the sunspots you see on the picture correctly. the second time will be the time where you’re just perfecting the information you found to do the proect. Kates site helps you find links and information you need to do the project correctly. id start this project in the beginning of the semester vs. the end, that way you have it all done with and won’t have to rush on it in the end of the semester before its due.

My advice is to try different solar viewers because ones work best. Start doing the observing project early I really recommend that. Websites provided by the instructor are very helpful as well as asking her questions. Try to understand the whole point of the project to match it with your observations. Do research to understand sunspots function. Last but not least, take your time while doing it and your effort will be shown.

The semester observation presentation is a very important obserbation.. It takes time to do this observation. Make sure to start early on the observation because if you wait until last minute you wont be able to do it. You have a whole semester to do this. Do not fall behind in this assingment.
